Young Men's Transitional Services
and Mentoring Program

"My belief is, that we must encourage our youngsters always. As we show our appreciation, and allow their participation at many levels, their self-esteem with be impacted greatly.  Most especially our young men must be supported - even more.   - Lillie B. Crowder (AAECF Board Member , Poet, TEDx Lecturer and Civil Rights Icon)

The African American Educational and Cultural Festival organization’s ‘Young Men Transitional Programs are designed to help young males in underserved communities from Elementary through High School to become successful and working Adults. As they grow and experience life’s challenges that impede on academic and social success, we are here to help mentor and guide our Stockholders (Mentees) in this process. We call our Mentees ‘stockholders' for they are taking ‘stock’ in ‘holding’ consistent positions in life and developing their portfolios of success. This positive Motto and mentality strengthens their academic achievement and provides affirmative social, emotional, and cultural identity during this development process.
