Highway Superintendent George 'Geo' Woodson, a Riverhead, New  York Native, was Elected by the People in 2008 and hit the ground running for improvements of the Town of Riverhead, New York Roads, Municipal Buildings and everything under the roof of the Highway Dept.. Mr. Woodson continues to sponsor an annual scholarship to a Riverhead High School student through the Suffolk County Highway Superintendent’s Association. Mr. Woodson has been a member of the Riverhead Fire Department for over twenty eight years, six years as Chief and held  the position of 1st Vice President of the Riverhead Town Fire Chief’s Association. He is also 1st Vice President of the Suffolk County Highway Superintendent’s Association. Mr. Woodson is a member of the Masonic Lodge #91. Mr. Woodson was honor of being chosen the Man of the Year and named the Public Servant of the Year.

Thank You Mr. George Woodson for protecting our Town Highways and we wish you much success in your continual position as Riverhead's Highway Superintendent.

Mrs. Kari Gainey

Mrs. Kari Gainey, a Riverhead New York Native, has been a funeral director since 2011 and owner of Gainey Funeral Services continuing in the Funeral Services business as her father Albert E. Seay Sr. who owned Seay Funeral Home. He was the first African-American Funeral Director in the county of Suffolk, New York. 

To add to her accomplishments, Mrs. Gainey has three successful Adult sons and she was currently appointed to the Highest Honor as the Worthy Matron of the Tyre Chapter #62 Order of Eastern Star in Riverhead. She is also a Daughter of Al Maseer Court No. 226, Oasis of Amityville, Desert of NY and Canada. Mrs. Gainey is also a Member of the AAECF, Inc. since 2018.

Mrs. Gainey recently started a new business called Gainey Notorial Services, LLC.

Thank You Mrs. Gainey for providing outstanding service to the Communities of Suffolk County. We wish you much success in your new Endeavours.
